Tremors 2: Aftershocks Audience Reviews

More Review
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
b_kite Fred Ward and Michael Gross are the only two stars who returned for this direct-to-video sequel six years after the original. While the loss of Kevin Bacon is definatly felt the film does a nice job of explaining his absence. Ward still is good comic relief but Chris Gartin is rather annoying as Grady. Gross takes a bigger role and gets some good lines in as well, despite the fact it not quite being his series yet. The film still uses a majority of practical effects over CGI even though they are limited but still enjoyable. The new Shrieker creatures are nice as well.
adonis98-743-186503 Tremors 2 is not as awesome as the first film but still pretty close it's full of laughs, action and Michael Gross as Burt is a perfect casting the dude is badass. Also the film has a lot of explosions and the effects on the Graboids are really cool sure they used stop motion also but still pretty cool. As the film goes on the Graboids stat to develop and they become smarter they even get legs and they run like hell also they have a heat vision (it reminded me a lot of Predator) if you loved the first film you will love this one also it was fun not as good as the Original but still pretty cool for a sequel. Final Verdict: 10 out of 10.
SanteeFats No Kevin Bacon in this one and it does suffer some from his not being in this one. Fred Ward is his steady self again. The movie does have its funny parts and the graboids, while smaller versions of the ones from the first movie, Tremors, are a lot more numerous. Michael Gross is back as the gun toting survivalist, Burt Gummer. Unfortunately Reba McIntyre does not reprise her role as Gummers equally gun nut wife. Burt shows up at the refinery with not only a crap load of weapons but a very tough vehicle that they use to get some worm meat. Going to Mexico to kill the new graboids is a lucrative deal for Bassett and his replacement sidekick that he doesn't want at first, because he is a very rash acting person, but does take to the site.
TheLittleSongbird While not as sprightly paced, as assuredly directed or as skillful in terms of camera work as the original, for a made-for-video sequel, this really is not bad. I was expecting shoddiness and derivative elements but Tremors 2 was really entertaining and surpassed my expectations completely. For one thing, the scenery is really nice and sets the atmosphere well. Secondly, the film is sharply written, and has its fair share of funny lines while being smart as well. Thirdly, the graboids are very well designed and the attacks are quite shocking, thanks to the soundtrack and the sound effects. Fourthly, the performances are engaging, Fred Ward reprises his role as charismatic and cool Earl and does a very good job, while Christopher Gartin is suitably chirpy as his assistant and Michael Gross is hilarious once again as Burt. Fifthly, and finally, it actually manages to stay true to the jokey spirit of the original. Overall, as far as sequels go this smart and entertaining follow up is one of the better ones out there. 7/10 Bethany Cox
