Would You Rather Audience Reviews

NekoHomey Purely Joyful Movie!
Infamousta brilliant actors, brilliant editing
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Jadamwood Barely believable story and acting that is simply okay. Premise is fun but the choices honestly could have been much worse for the R rating. There isn't that much violence for a R horror movie. It keeps your attention and even if it is low budget meh- just watch it. I don't think you'll regret it if you're in the mood for a good bad movie.
theflexican74 I would give 10 stars if ending wasn't like that. Other than that film was good enough for me.
tiffanylittlee As a horror movie fanatic, I thought the plot and title was rather interesting. Though as I watched the movie, I didn't feel the thrill that I usually get from horror. I felt quite disturbed by everything. They made deaths look way too easy and fake.Acting was sub par and the plot and characters were missing A LOT. You only knew about Brittany Snow's character and no one else. One guy is there because of being in a lot of debt and previously being a drinker.. That's all we got from the other characters. It really didn't give us anything to root for and made it quite obvious how the ending would turn out.The ending had to be the worst ending to a movie I have ever seen. I'm not going to spoil it but seriously? After all she went through they go and do that? The movie ended with that unfulfilled feeling and disappointment. That doctor didn't even get caught? At least have something good happen. I know that not everything has to be a happily ever after but that's what I was hoping for since the start. Also, it is incredibly unrealistic to make every character stupid. I don't know what the writers were thinking but couldn't they at least have one that could think a little more logically? Also, where's the real motive of the doctor? Why does he enjoy watching people torment each other? What's the whole point of having the doctors son there? If the first doctor (the one who went to rescue them) knew where it was happening, why not just report it to the cops instead of going in to a dangerous place? I would not recommend this movie to anyone. Even those who enjoy watching disturbing movies. This one pretty much crossed the line.
longcooljolie This movie has been on Netflix, where I have watched it at least five times because I really appreciate well-done shocker movies. The major factor setting this one apart from similar movies is the acting. In the genre it's really easy to lapse into over-the-top histrionics or fall into clichés of the genre, which are too numerous to mention and for readers of this review, you probably know what they are anyway. It's an ensemble cast of eight people who show up at a mysterious dinner given by an extremely wealthy man who offers promises of financial help if they are willing to take part in a "game." That premise alone would normally send up glaring red flags, but it's clear that all the dinner guests are taken in by the host's (skillfully portrayed by Jeffrey Combs) polite and convivial manner. While it is an ensemble cast, the script and cinematography benefit from being told through a desperate young woman's eyes (Iris, portrayed by Brittany Snow). Early in the movie we learn that she is desperately looking for a job to aid her in helping care for her critically ill brother. The other seven dinner guests are painted in broad strokes, but after all it is a 90 minute movie, and the bulldog-ish butler, Bevans, also comes to the fore in a big way as the action progresses. There are enough twists and turns to make the story even more compelling and when the "game" starts after a luscious dinner, the plot gets cranking. The movie's only shortcoming, at least to me, was the generic musical score. Maybe after getting decent actors and making sure the cinematography was good, they only had enough money to hire somebody with a Casio organ and told him or her, just make it sound spooky. Of course, this is very minor and "Would you Rather," which has been unfairly dismissed as a "Saw" ripoff or torture porn, is actually a must-see for any horror fan.
